Seafood gumbo was excellent!! The gumbo with crab had such amazing flavor and sweetness. We went during happy hour, and everything we ordered was excellent. Even the complimentary potatoes before the meal were delicious and satisfying.

Deanie's Seafood Restaurant has the best charbroiled oysters in town, hands down! They serve them with toasted bread and they are just magnificent.
The barbecue shrimp is also one of my favorite items to order every time we are here.
We also ordered the crab and shrimp dip along with the colossal onion rings, they were all cooked perfectly!!
Truly a staple! Everything is delicious you will not be disappointed!

My husband and I had our dinner reception here for our wedding! 4.13.2024.
The food WAS OUTSTANDING. Victoria was so patient and hospitable with our party. We were able to bring our cake to the reception as well.
The twice baked potatoes were hands down the most delicious thing I have ever eaten. The crab balls were to die for. Delicious and fresh salad to start and everything in between was fantastic.
The courtyard was absolutely perfect for guests to flow inside and out. We were very lucky and it was a beautiful day. No extra decor needed. The ambiance there is perfection.
The most shocking is the bang for your buck - there are no hidden fees or minimum charges for the party. It is charged honestly and in my opinion so dang affordable for the high quality and quantity food you get buffet style.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We wanted a nice shrimp lunch in the French Quarter in New Orleans and were recommended "Deanie's" by a local bar owner. This is a large, open restaurant with a nice vibe, decent music, and the staff are really friendly and helpful, especially our server, Marlana. We opted for the half seafood platter and were asked if we wanted it broiled or fried, and we opted for the former. We could not fault any of the food. The catfish, oysters, shrimps, soft shell crab and crab meat balls were all beautifully cooked and the portion size was just right for the two of us. I can definitely recommend a meal at Deanie's to anyone who loves their seafood.

Visiting New Orleans for my birthday. This was our last night. I googled some places and this place was close by. I will give all the positives. The restaurant was very clean, and the server was nice and personable. We had the crab dip, which was good. I had the voodoo drink, which was OK. A little sweet but ok. They have these red potatoes that are really good and flavorful. Unfortunately, the seafood platter was not good. Don't get me wrong, the portion size was great. But that food had absolutely NO seasoning. I mean, none. You have to use the dips provided to have flavor. It's so unfortunate because the platter was cooked well, but without seasoning, it's a no-go for me. For that reason, I won't visit there again. There is also a 3.5% charge if you use a card to pay.
