Great place. The atmosphere & ambience was really good. Was able to walk in and easily get on a table on Friday night. A little bit on the pricier side, but not too bad. Burger was huge, and the steak was great. The Creme Bulee was amazing!! Open until Midnight!
The server didn't seem like she wanted to be there. This is a French restaurant so maybe that's part of the charm? Our food was solid but not spectacular. I had the mussels. The accompanying fries were overcooked and dry. The air conditioning was on but struggling during the summer. Overall, I wouldn't be opposed to coming back but I wouldn't put it on my list.
I highly suggest visiting this classic NYC spot if you are in the city. Great food, service and ambience. I go for lunch and sit at the bar with Pamela, who gives you an excellent Service. She is attentive and friendly. Her margaritas and coffee are fantastic. I usually order the escargots and the croquet, madame…
The atmosphere was interesting, which is the only reason we decided to have brunch there. However, the food was terrible! I had more issues with the service than the food. I ordered a mixed salad, but they brought me potatoes instead.
Our experience at L'Express was absolutely awesome! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. Carmen, our waitress, was fantastic—she was always on top of our needs, making sure we had everything we wanted. I had the artichokes and the short rib bourguignon, and both dishes were incredible, flavorful and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food lived up to the great things we’d heard about L'Express in Montreal. Highly recommend!
