Finally leaving a review, after many visits over the past few years. Why do I keep coming back? The food, service, and atmosphere! The food is delicious and very generous portions. The staff are very knowledgeable of the menu and ingredients, friendly, and attentive. Dining outside is wonderful. They have plenty of fans with water spritz to keep you comfortable on the hottest Miami afternoons. They also have a small but lovely indoor dining space. A staple for Miami, one you must try.
This place is not dinner this is a unique place to experience good food! Angelica one of many friendly serves and the nicest host Kate are such a great addition to this amazing restaurant. The food is THE food! Tasty, delicious feels like home made recipes with an upscale twist!!
From the ambiance to the delicious food, this restaurant really stands out as both unique and authentic. The outdoor seating is perfect for the Miami “winter” months and is equipped with fans and a retractable shade to keep things comfortable. The decorations and plants are really lovely, making you feel like you’re vacationing in the Mediterranean. We had reservations and were seated promptly. Service was great the whole time. We started with saganaki (a little salty for my taste, but our saganaki lover was very happy) and fried zucchini, my favorite. The batter was light and had a nice puffed texture, just fantastic. The manti dumplings were fantastic, as were the sides of orzo pilaf, lemon potatoes, and French fries. The portions were really generous, so we ended up being too full for dessert! Shucks, guess we’ll have to come back again to try them :) The only thing that’s a challenge is parking, which they explain very clearly when making a reservation. There was a garage not too far away that we parked in. They texted to confirm the reservation, and you could reply to the text to let them know if you’re running a couple of minutes late—which is always a possibility with Miami and Design District traffic!
This is a very good restaurant in terms of food quality. Portion sizes are also proper. I’d say 1.5-2 dishes per person. I did not like the table though. We were sitting outside, 5 people on a small table which was even hard for themselves to manage the plates. The table was also tilted, which resulted in my phone sliding and falling on the ground and break. Sure you can’t directly blame the restaurant for the broken phone, but it is obvious what caused it to slide off. The only negative points about the food was the calamari that tasted fishy and did not seem very fresh, and the cheesecake which you can just tell from the photo. The service was good except one person that seemed a bit impatient and a little aggressive, like a teacher who is tired of her student, she replied to us. Anyways, I hope they improve so we keep going again.
Everything was fresh and came out super fast. Large portions for sharing, wine list was also great. The outside dinning experience was perfect for lunch with a bottle of white wine accompanied by all the fresh dishes, can’t be beat.
