Cool place in Pittsburgh South Side to watch hibachi food getting made, but it was kind of expensive. The portions weren’t that great either. Food was decently seasoned.
I paid $16 for hibachi chicken fried rice. The chicken alone was $9 and this is all they gave me. What a rip off.... I called and the lady I spoke to refunded me the chicken fried rice and also agreed with me about the portion size. So thank you to the person I spoke to but NAKAMA - you need to do better.
I spent $31 dollars for a dinner size shrimp fried rice, I asked him before I purchased the shrimp fried rice, would it be enough to feed 2 people he said yes. I also wanted to purchase the bone in wings, garlic and butter flavor, and the chicken egg rolls, neither were in stock. He explained everything about the chicken egg roll and they had none? I am so disappointed, we were gonna plan a football party here because it's beautiful, staff was the absolute best ,very wonderful vibe, but the food potion was a deal breaker, dang. Oh, we did meet an amazing customer, got her number, that part was amazing, to bad, we really enjoyed the restaurant. My name is Chef B, and the food portion is disrespectful for $31 dollars, we won't be back
Genuinely one of my worst serving experiences. My friends and I dined in and starting off there was a piece of gum stuck to the side plates we were given for sushi. There was also countless items that we had to ask for multiple times including food items that we were charged for until we said something. I work in the service industry and try to give people the benefit of the doubt but our experience was unacceptable and we will not be returning.
I spent $40 on nothing. They served me a lunch portion when I asked for a dinner portion. My meal did not come with salad or soup. Since when doesn’t hibachi come with salad or soup? My noodles tasted bland. They charge 0.75 cents for extra yum yum sauce… would they have charged me had I been in person? I received 2 baby broccoli stems and 3 pieces of zucchini. When I called to inquire about the decreased portion, the hostess was helpless. She didn’t offer to allow me to speak with a manager, nor did she offer to make things right. She just defended the cooks. I get it, the pandemic impacted everyone, but unless you get your acts together this place won’t survive for much longer. I will not be returning! If you’re looking for good and consistent hibachi, check out Ichiban in Robinson. They give you a lot for a little! I’m so upset that I tipped the hostess $5. She was definitely undeserving!!! The picture looks like more than it is because I purchased a side of noodles, but trust me when I say I was robbed of $40!!!
