This restaurant is so beautiful and romantic. The staff is absolutely incredible and the live piano player was the cherry on top of this amazing night. Date night, girls night, birthday, any occasion, this restaurant is made for it all. 10/10.
Amazing atmosphere and next level service. If you want to know what a fine dining experience is like, without any stuffiness, go here. The food was perfect, not overseasoned and perfectly portioned. Highly recommend the ocean scallops or the halibut. For dessert the creme brulee or the whiskey bread pudding. Charlie, our waiter, has an accent worth the price of admission; charming, warm, and the perfect amount of attentiveness. He treated us like royalty. Perfect place for a date. I would 1 million percent come back.
We came to St Martins to celebrate our anniversary. We found the place on Google Maps and saw that it had very positive reviews and we wanted to come and try it ourselves. We ordered the rib eye and the lamb... everything was delicious, the atmosphere was very pleasant and romantic, and they also had a pianist making the evening more romantic. 20/10 I can't stop recommending this place and I will order the lamb again.
We've been to St. Martin's plenty of times at the old Greenville location. This was our first visit to the new space on Bryan. Let's dispense with the disappointments so we can cleanse the palate with the excellent. The place remains dark as night. They admit this by bringing flashlights to your table to read the menu. And the piano, a signature of the location, is simply far too loud. It dissuaded us from conversation. Our waiter was not as attentive as we'd like. Well, not at all sometimes. He walked past a number of times taking pains to avoid eye contact. (He was very discrete when my inactivated card failed to pay, though!) We were there, all told, an hour and 45 minutes from the ticket, so two hours from entry. While we appreciate a leisurely experience, two hours for dinner, with long stretches without even a bus coming to the table... Speaking of, the busboy mistook my gin and tonic for water and "refilled" it. He was mortified, but I said nothing to management. Poor fellow. Most disappointing? No venison. Of all the glorious upscale places to eat at, we were lured by the addition of pan seared venison to the menu. But no. None to be had. As it was, I settled for the filet, with the venison's intended sides. The food itself was really spectacular. My filet was huge, must have been 8 maybe ten oz. Served au poivre, I made the mistake of finishing it with the bearnaise. The bearnaise changed the flavour, so that was on me. Partner had the Pave (surf and turf) and was well satisfied, so too with their champagne brie soup and foie gras. My spinach and mushrooms, served with the filet en place de venison were a little overwhelmed by the saltiness of the sauce. But the au poivre served filet was excellent, even if far too rare to be really medium rare as requested. It was an excellent meal, if not an excellent experience. Whilst understanding the issues of supply, a signature new item should be available, so a star vanishes into the venison hole. Three cocktails, two appetisers, a salad and two mains, plus dessert: $244 with tax.
My wife and I enjoyed our first visit here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The orange sauce duck, lamb, and the chicken in wine sauce were all very delicious. The exquisite tangy-flavored orange sauce paired well with the fresh warm bread, and it balanced out the savory flavors of the chicken and lamb dishes. Ms. Abby helped recommend a special beverage for my pregnant wife, and my wife really enjoyed the personalized drink. I highly recommend dining at this romantic restaurant for any special occasion or celebration. The peaceful live piano music elevated the entire experience as we relaxed into the soothing ambience. We returned the second time for my birthday, and it was another pleasant experience. The french onion soup had a bold impressive flavor, and my wife enjoyed trying the beef bourguignon. Ms. Jamie and Ms. Monica both provided excellent professional service and made our night lovely. It's nice to see the entire team work together to ensure everyone is taken care of. We were attended to regularly, and we felt welcome. Thank you very much.
