The service here was excellent. Our waiter Emmett was very attentive and kind. The buttermilk pancakes are solid and the portion sizes are big. I ordered the salmon croquettes special and they didn’t have much flavor. It came with eggs, home fries, and toast. Overall the meal was just ok which is why I’m only able to give 3 stars here. My sister ordered the Way South Eggs and really enjoyed them. Would try the cinnamon roll pancakes if I came back.
One of the best breakfast spots I’ve ever visited in a while! I had the Be Creative omelette which was-eggs, potatoes, onions, mushrooms, and bell peppers—it was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Got my meal with toast- which was perfectly done; the butter melted right into the bread, which reminded me of the rich, flavorful bread from Nigeria and the UK. The freshly squeezed orange juice was a refreshing bonus. Loved the pictures on the wall- perfect throwback!
Cute little breakfast cafe with a mom and pop diner kind of vibe. They offer both indoor and outside seating. The service was quick and the wait wasn’t too bad considering the amount of people there. We got omelette and a skillet with a side order of pancakes and French toast. For myself I felt it was a bit on the pricy side the fact one side pancake is $5, but I guess it’s how things are now. The cinnamon roll pancake was amazing and so was the French toast. I’d recommend not doing the omelette as it isn’t super flavorful and instead doing a skillet.
I was in Chicago visiting from Alabama. Wonderful customer service. They took our last minute reservation 30 minutes before arrival for eight people and had the table set very nicely and greeted us with a warm welcome upon our arrival. This place had the best pancakes that I've ever had in my life. The only thing that I would not recommend is the grits they just need to be cooked longer and more cheese and a pinch of salt but everything else was wonderful from the Good customer service, wonderful food and historical interior design. It makes you feel as if you're in your grandmother's kitchen. The owner also came over to greet us and introduce herself which was also very polite and welcome us to come back again! Thank you again we will definitely be back.
Very small space with pretty limited seating. They were full when we got there, but we were seated pretty quickly. After we got in, the line ended up being much longer. Being as busy as they were, it took a few minutes to get coffee and then our order taken. Our waitress was fantastic and helped my wife make a decision. Food was excellent. Plenty of food. Overall a great meal.
